The Clarksville Panthers blew out the Dover Pirates 12-2 on Friday. Clarksville scored three in the first inning, five in the fourth and four in the fifth on six hits and no errors. Dover added two runs in the fourth to prevent the shutout. Cole Clark was the winning pitcher. He pitched five innings, gave up two hits and two earned runs. He struck out 10. Clark opened the game with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning, and the Panthers built from there. Cameron Patterson singled in Garrett Waddill to make it 3-0. Dover pulled within 3-2 on a homer by Dawson Branch, but the Panthers kept it rolling. Alex Snow scored on a passed ball, Clark scored on an error and Hayden Koch scored on a grounder by Payton Dawson. Clarksville set the final score after Wright walked, John-Foster Case's would-be sacrifice fly was dropped and Patterson doubled in Noah Wright. Dover pitched by committee during the loss. Kaleb Williams lasted three-and-a-third innings, gave up four hits, seven runs and walked three. Williams struck out two. Jayce Sharp, Jeremy Robinson and Lance Millsaps pitched the remaining innings but couldn't turn things around.
