The Clarksville Panthers track and field team qualified three athletes during the recent 5A-West track meet on Friday. Senior Samantha Childers placed third in the high jump with a 4'9; freshman Nicholas Buckner finished second in the 100-meters with a time of 11:72; and freshman Michael Powell finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 44'2. The three competed in the Class 5A state track meet on Tuesday in Harrison. At the state tournament, Powell finished fifth in shot put with 45-3.75. Buckner finished 16th overall in the 100-meters.
